Turnip Cake

Turnip Cake (from Mom’s friend)
1 lb rice flour
1/2 Cup wheat starch
1/2 Cup tapioca starch
1/2 Cup corn starch
1 t salt
1 T sugar
pepper
sesame oil
5 1/2 Cup water
turnips
recipe from cookbook
1 lb rice flour with 2 cups water
2 lbs turnip with 1 3/4 C water
2 1/2 t slt
1 t black pepper
mix rice flour with water
cook shredded turnip over low heat for about 20 minutes (until soft); add seasoning and rice paste.
pour into steamer and steam for 40 minutes.Test with chopstick, inset into cake and if chopstick comes out clean, then cake is done.
